30DS and an NSV

I've done 11 days of the 30DS so far. i started on 5/29, so as you can tell, I'm not doing it every day. I don't do it on my work days (3 days per week.. 12 hr shifts which leave me too tired for much else).. and this week I took the entire week off because I wanted my legs to rest up. I had my 5K that I was trying to PR on last night and while I knew the 30DS was making my legs stronger, it was also making them tire out more easily on my regular runs.
The NSV? Well, I ran a HUGE victory last night. I've been running local road races for the last couple of years (anywhere from 5Ks-10mi) but had yet to break the 25 min barrier in a 5K. My closest time was back in Feb when I ran 25:14. That was a pretty flat out-and-back course, just like the one last night was.. so I knew I'd have a chance to break my PR, and maybe even break the 25 I was shooting for.
Well.. I finished in 23:29!! Totally blew it out of the water! I can't believe (still, pinch me, maybe the course was short?, this couldn't be) that I got my PR by 1:45.
After only 11 days of 30DS! I really think it's made the difference, getting my legs stronger so they don't tire as easily.
