I ran in my very first 5K yesterday! Finished in 33:35! It was hot and it felt long compared to the 2 miles I've been going, but I made it! And I only walked twice for about a minute each time.

I started doing the C25K program a couple of weeks ago but I was worried because I'm not a runner and it wasn't near enough time to get through the whole program. I made it to week 5 by doing each workout twice instead of 3 times, which was hard. I think I'm going to go back and do the program right, and sign up for another run :)

Way to go! I have done 3 of them, but still walking a good portion of it. They are addicting though...

Nice job! Congrats! Races are very addictive, and you'll have a lot of fun and get a lot of satisfaction training more seriously for your next one and setting goals and watching your times get better :-)

Fantastic job! Congrats! That's a pretty rockin' pace, especially if you walked some!

You did great! Congrats! You'll be amazed how quickly you get better and feel better. Keep a log of your runs, distance and pace and in a year you will look back and be amazed at how far you've come. At my race this weekend I spoke with a man who was 81 and had kept a log of all his races, over 250 of them spanning 30 years!
