I have been doing this for about 3 weeks now, and at the beginning, I was not eating back my ex. cals. I gained the 2 pounds I had lost back. Ugh.
Everyone on the boards said th eat my ex. cals back...so I have been doing that. I dropped 1.5 pounds the first week, but have stayed the same.
Any advice? My diary is open...

I eat back most, but not all of my exercise calories. Since I'm not wearing a heart rate monitor, and the calorie counts on MFP seem high, I usually leave about 500 calories on my "plate" at the end of the day, just to be sure. Right now I'm eating a little bit more to break a plateau, but that method has worked for me in the past weeks...
Also, please keep in mind that your monthly cycle can affect your losses, and the less you need to lose the slower the loss will be. So don't stress too much.0 -
It takes time. You're probably in a plateau. Increase the intensity of your workouts and switch your workouts up. Do cardio and strength training. Both are important to losing fat and boosting metabolism. Good luck!0

Hello what programs or exercise are you doing along with your diet? I have done Insanity and P90X and have lost 55 lbs so far, but you need to keep your caloric intake and your caloric output separated. I typically burn about 800-1000 calories doing my workouts everyday and that way I can offset my intake, I also drink my Shakeology everyday and it helps me curve my appetite between meals. I have found that if I do six meals aday it is easier to manage my weight as well. I don't mean that you have to have full meals I mean you need to help yourself out by eating a small snack in between your meals to help your metabolism keep burning the calories between meals and your workout. I thought it sounded crazy at first but it really works and I dropped from a size 42 1/2" waist to a 34" almost a 33" now since last august. If you have anything you would like to know or help with let me know or email me I have found to great communities with Myfitnesspal and Beachbody it is nice to combine them. Let me know if I can help you and we can work on this together.

Eat healthy, don't weigh yourself too often (I weigh 2x a month), measure yourself, be consistent.
Lots of things can affect your weight; hormones, salt intake, protein intake. Look at the big picture.
My scale stayed the same for 3 MONTHS, but I dropped 2 dress sizes during that time.
I think it'll happen for you, so don't get discouraged.0 -
My thought is that perhaps you may be experiencing progress not related to weight. If you are changing your shape then that is success, as long as it is positive change.
Also are you getting enough sleep to allow your body to recuperate? It is very important.
Your food choices seem healthy, but I only looked at one day.
It sounds like a fanatical point, but the less processed your intake foods the better, so if you are not already making your own meals, you are likely to see good results once you begin that.
Since you are so close to your target weight already I think that you will see slow progress. Don't be discouraged, because this is just as much about your heart health as it is your overall shape.
There are some wise people on this site. I know you will connect with some helpful members. Best to you.0 -
I am running 3 times a week and do ChaLean extreme the other 4, along with daily activities with my kids like swimming and the beach, cleaning etc.
I am noticing muscle in my arms lately so I am seeing improvement....I cook all of my meals at home. Nothing processed, except bread now and then, but that is minimal and whole grain when it is.
I just ordered a body bugg, so I am hoping that will help with all of this.0 -
I went back through your diary to when you started and noticed your sugar was high on quite a few days. Your diet looks healthy otherwise. I think you might want to lower your carbs a little to boost your metabolism and substitute lean meat for some of the dairy. Also, try changing things up in your exercise. Your body gets used to the same routine and stops working as hard as it was to burn calories, so you have to make things a little harder for it.0

I would not eat back all of your exercise cals...but use them if you need them, and if you are burning a ton of them a day...then we sure to eat at least some of them so you are giving your body enough cals!! Be patient and cosistent, the scale will go up and down a lot througout this journey but it will pay off in the end! And also be sure to your measurements so you can see the inches drop!0
