I've had my Polar FT40 for 5 months now and it worked great the first 2 months, then I started noticing problems with it reading my heart rate off and on. I repostioned the strap, tightened it, always made sure it was clean etc and that seemed to resolve most of the issues. Today though it just stopped working all together, would not register my heart rate at all. Wait that is not right, it connected briefly and said my heart rate was 250 *lol*

The batteries can't possible need to be changed already? I store it properly etc. Thankfully it is under warranty, so hopefully they will give me a new one, but I felt really naked without it today!!

Has anyone else had problems with their Polar's? I hate that I spent so much on this thing and am already having problems with it!

When mum upgraded to a different one, I got her old one and I found the exact same thing even though it was in perfect condition i got so frustrated that i eventually just gave up on it all together... not very helpful though sorry.

My FT4 plays up like that if I don't dampen the strap enough, otherwise it works fine...
