Re: the thread that started this was "I don't speak or read Spanish, and am more likely to listen to Michael McDonald than POP"

This was written as an answer to a teenager who wrote to me in Spanish, and shall remain anonymous. Enough said, Y'all?

Yes she can bake a cherry pie,
Quick as a cat can wink his eye.
She's a young thing, and I cannot leave her, mother.

I used to play ice hockey and I like to point that out whenever I can. I think it is awesome.

I was also an urban music DJ in college. There is nothing urban about me and I now listen to pop punk music.

I know - I'm weird that way  I had all kinds of books when I was little - full of old (and I mean OLD) fairy tales (think grims brothers - not hans christian), etc. My mom plays the piano, and she had a bunch of old song books. I read everything I could get my hands on. I still remember bits and pieces. Do you remember this one?

A tisket, a tasket, a green and yellow basket....
I wrote a letter to my love, and on the way I dropped it, I dropped it....

    my other favorite is:

    Lavendar's blue, dilly dilly
    Lavendar's green...
When I am king, dilly dilly
    You shall be queen.
