So I think I'm on week three now of my eating more experiment. Last week was TOM so I kind of skipped over it so I wouldn't go crazy. As ya'll know I teach spin and Body Pump. I've also been adding classes like kickboxing and adding maybe 20 minutes of elliptical/stairmaster after Pump just to switch things up. Drinking a lot more water. I started this coming OFF a huge gain from numerous trips including the beach (alcohol), funeral (in Alabama...SOUTHERN FOOD), and a trip home with kids, and mom visiting and me taking the week off of work. i.e. no exercise.
So...my measurements were at the beginning which was when I had put on some weight from the trip. Usually between 150-152 I hopped on and it read 159! Measurements were
Bust 34 1/2
waist 30
hips 39 1/2
thigh 21
arm 10
After three weeks of eating back my calories from work I was 153...which is ANNOYING because it went down to 152 well over a week ago...???
bust 32 1/2 womp wooomp LOL!
waist 28
hips 38 1/3
thigh 19 1/2
arm 10
Soooo I have no idea what my measurements were BEFORE i gained the vaca weight...but that's the difference so far. But the scale is still high. I haven't had a break from exercise in what will be over 2 weeks, so I'm hoping my muscles can release the water when we go out of town this weekend and they can REST. Is that possible?
Thanks for reading guys!

Oh my gosh, I hear ya! I am normally a runner. I'm not a marathoner, but I like to run 3-5 miles at a time. I stopped that and joined my local gym. Have been spinning, doing body pump, Trek classes, Muscle Up, etc. Things I don't normally do. I gained 6.5 lbs in a month. No joke. I feel more fit but the weight is freaking me out. I'm 5'6" and 153. I hate the 150's! I don't care how many inches I lose for some reason, I hate that number! Anywhooooo----I had gotten up to 156.6 (after the one month at the gym) I haven't worked out in a week and dropped the 3 pounds! So, after that long rant, I think you will drop some of the water retention this week!! Good luck!!!!
By the way, you look great girl! I'd love those arms!0 -
Well done you! I would be happy with size lost versus weight... noone is going to pick you up etc so who cares what you weigh - surely its better to look and feel better in your clothes?
Congratulations. x0 -
I wouldn't worry about weight too much. In fact, i would suggest tracking your body fat (with calipers) and throw away the scale. You have a lot of muscle and probably at this point, the only way to lose the weight is by losing the muscle. Also, when you tend to overwork your body, it retains water. You really don't want to work out more than 5 or 6 days a week.0

Thanks! :-D Yes I HATE THE 150'S!!!!! I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd be in the 150's and then for months and months I was in the 140's! I couldn't believe it and I was happy there. I have IC which is a chronic bladder disease. Yay! so I'm on a super low dose of anti-depressants for pain and I did body pump so I did ADD muscle...but I'm more comfy in the 140's...especially with how much work I do. I will truly know this is working if I see a 149. :-) Philly, we will be eating a ton...I'm preparing for it. But I'm NOT working out. My body will need a gosh darn rest. I'm doing 2 hours of exercise every day. It's beat up!0 -

I could not agree more. Normally I wouldn't workout this much. At all. I am helping some of my friends by teaching their classes while they recover from surgery/take kids to swimming etc...so I'm short term subbing...didn't really realize it until I looked down at my schedule on day and saw I had no days OFF! Oops. Next Sat/Sun I'm taking totally off.0 -
I honestly think it's what food you put in. I would watch my carb intake and sodium (maybe less processed food or eating out). Your protein looks great. Those are major factors in seeing the scale move downward. Take 2 rest days in a row if you can if you haven't in a while or at least incorporate 1 rest day a week.
Great accomplishment with the inches which I love but I know how it feels when you want to see the scale move!0 -
I am also a 150 hater! I cannot seem to get out of the 150's for the life of me! Hopefully we can all get out of this Rut sooner or later. To see the 140's would be AWESOME!! Good luck!0

Oh, I totally agree. This week has been fighting against me. We have had NUMEROUS celebration meals. Father's Day, Date night, Kindergarten graduation...etc, etc. I've tried to make decent choices for most meals...but this is not the norm. This week will be all in home cooking thank GOODNESS. :-) No more high sodium.0 -

You and me both I'm trying to detox all of the sodium overload from this past Father's day weekend. I'm sure you will see some results soon. When I upped my calories it took a good 4 wks to see some changes.0
