Needing some support/motivation!

I have been trying to focus lately on recognizing my "triggers". I now know that I want to snack when I am bored, lonely, depressed, or frustrated. As soon as my boyfriend left for work yesterday I was craving something to snack on, even though we had breakfast shortly before. I drank a ton of water until lunch seemed appropriate and then I had some lunch. My craving for a snack did not go away. I tried to work out a little but I did not feel motivated or energetic at all. I put a lot of thought into what I had to eat/drink last week and I am still having trouble finding the energy and motivation to exercise. I know that changing from being a lazy, unhealthy person to an energetic, slender, athletic woman is going to take time and I decided to focus on my eating until the drive to exercise started to kick in but I'm still waiting and losing my drive to continue to eat healthy in the meantime. If anyone has any advice on how I can stay motivated to continue trying to eat healthy, get motivated to exercise, or learn to think more positive thoughts (I find that I can't imagine things working out for me usually) I would really appreciate it. I have been trying to log all of my food on MFP and I ordered a bunch of exercise dvds (still waiting for them to arrive) so that I can workout from home if I'm feeling lazy but still have enough energy to get a workout in but I'm worried that I'm going to start heading in the wrong direction again and gain back any weight I may have lost recently. I have a trip to the beach planned in August and it will be my first time at the beach in 7 years as well as my first week off of work in 7 years so I am realllllly looking forward to it, however, if I am still fat then I will just be a bum who wants to cover up the whole time...and I dont' want that either. Any input/help/support/motivation/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!!!

I think that if you can't stop your craving to snack then manage it. So when you know that your boyfriend is leaving have heathy small snacks ready. Eat some carrots, etc and that way you manage the craving without hurting your calorie intake. I eat 3 snacks a day in between meals, I just work them into my calories for the day. As for motivation to exercise, try to do something that you don't think of as exercise. Zumba is really fun, you can take class which will get you out of the house, and you'll stop thinking about being alone etc if you are in a group. Try not to get discouraged. It's hard at first, if it was easy then no one would be overweight. Just don't get down, and keep going. You're doing great!0
