hello MFP

I'm 5'3" 195 lbs. I've been logging my calories eating healthy (or so I think lol) I haven't drank juice or soda for about three weeks increased my water intake to about 12-16 glasses a day (whoohoo). But my scale isnt showing any results. I weigh in and sometimes it says 200 lbs and the next weigh in 195 then 190 then back to 200. It's really killing me. I'm starting the c25k this week getting workouts is a bit of a challenge since I'm a SAHM of a 3 yr old, 20 month old and 6 week old but I'm trying.

I changed my goals to 1.5 lb a week to lose and changed my activity to sedentary since I'm not doing lots of working out. Please take a look at my diary and give me suggestions. I'm not about to quit it's not an option. But am I doing this right?

looking at your diary your doing a great job staying within your goals, especially if you arent being that active. However, i'm thinking thats the missing piece to your puzzle, if you start slowly adding a bit of cardio and weights you may see the scale budge a little more!

    friend me? :)

I agree with khodes. You might want to challenge your body and change things up a bit and add more exercises. A combination of cardio and weights is the best. Weight training will help you build muscle, and muscle burns fat. Also, when you have more muscle, you will burn more calories.

Keep up the good work, because you are doing great.

I know for me personally, I don't lose weight if I don't exercise. No matter how healthy and clean I eat, I just don't lose if I don't exercise. I would say that even if you can just go for a walk or do an exercise DVD you may start to see some results.

Your diet looks great. More fiber might help--I had to guesstimate it because you don't have it as one of your nutrients. Shoot for 25 grams per day, minimum. If you can squeeze in some exercise it will help you, too. Even if you have to do it in little 5-10 minute bursts throughou the day. You can do squats and lunges while you're cooking, incline pushups on any table, chair, countertop you happen to be around. A litte bit of anything is better than a whole bunch of nothing!
