I rarely go over my sugar, unless i eat a banana. They seem to be high in sugar. If you are not a meat eater, make sure you get in at least one cup of beans a day. If you used canned beans, look at the label and make sure they are 5 g of sugar or less. I also strive to eat 1 cup of raw veggies each day. Carrots tend to be higher in sugar, but I don' t think anyone got fat off of eating bananas and carrots. You can make sure that along with your fruit or veggies, eat a lean protein source to help slow down the digestion of the sugar. I eat my veggies along with a scoop of whey protein powder mixed in water. There is a book out there that might help you, I can't think of the name, I have it on facebook.
