Completed the Toronto Spartan Sprint!!

Had a blast!

(For those of you who don't know what it is *I didn't before I ran it either* it is a 5+km / 3+ mile run with 25 obstacles along the way including swimming, a tire carry, barbed wire crawls in mud and ice, walls, cargo nets... you get the picture)

It was a blast! Looking forward to the next challenge

    Thanks a mil!

Yeah - it is a great time, the US has it a bit better than us Canadians - they get a beer at the end! Next time I am running it in the States!

    Looks like fun! :)

It was AWESOME!! Such a thrill and really makes you want to train harder for the next one so that it is easier! *great logic - train harder to make the competition easier*

I would encourage anyone and everyone to try it! They are all over the US, Canada and the UK! Awesome time!

Isn't it a great feeling of accomplishment?

I'm pretty sure Spartan Race is harder than Warrior Dash. WD had some challenging obstacles, but you could just go around them if they were too hard. The hardest part was the final mud, because there wasn't enough water in it when we went through, and it was literally wet cement, with a lot of gravel in it. But later, people were able to swim in it. :ohwell:

It is one of THE most awesome feelings of accomplishment (to date) in terms of doing something crazy challenging, out of the ordinary and what most people would consider insanity!

In the Spartan you could skip anything with a burpee penality (push up to jumping jack back to push up) sometimes that was harder than doing the actual activity!! It was nice though, you could help one another with any obstacle so when it came to the rope climb, I couldn't jump high enough to catch a dry part so I kept slipping with no grip. My boyfriend boosted be so that I could reach just above the wet part and climb the rop (avoid 40 burpees)! Our most painfil was the ice pit under barbed wire, minimal ice - loads of gravel *sharp gravel* and the volunteers tossing the mixture on your back and face - my elbows have seen better days!

I am excited about the WD in three weeks. I have to register my team! This time I think we are wearing white! Haha - going to get dirty!
