Doing speed work this morning on a hilly, part trail loop over railroad tracks. I was using a GPS watch for my laps, and letting endomondo record the entire work out for later review. After I got home, I realized that I ended up running the first 5k in 26 flat, and was averaging 8:20 the entire time! That is, by far, the fastest I have run since my mid 20's (I am 38 now). Actually, I may not have run that fast since my teens. Maybe my wife slipped something in my breakfast cereal, but I am thinking it is just much, much better eating.

Flipping heck, you were going some, well done you! I cough a lung up if I get faster than 9.5 min miles!

Managed to start and finish the week with a 5K, and missed my last time by about 30 seconds, though on a route with just a few more hills. Pretty excited to try my long run tomorrow with all these improvements!

Thank you very much! It was a nice feeling, to have that kind of high turnover, and to just keep moving. I want to say, especially at nearly 40, but I am having doubts today about the relevance of aging!

    Nice!

100 miles this month, according to your ticker! Quite nice! I think I will hit that, though I would have to check endomondo to be sure. I believe my schedule called for it, but I may have replaced a few with cycling.

Just did a follow up 10K time trial (last time was five weeks ago), and managed to pull a full 40 seconds a mile off, for an average of about 8:54 a mile over the full 6 (and change). I actually think I could have done a bit better, if I had been willing to leave it all out there, but I do have a long run tomorrow.
