So, if I lose 28 lbs I will no longer be obese but just regular overweight. That sounds like a big but doable number. Plus then my little wii fit character would quit blowing up so big.

Have ya'll done the math for yourselves yet?

    Haha, yeah I know where you're coming from. My Wii says if I loose atleast 22 pounds I'll be just overweight XD;

    How do you calculate that? sorry...I feel stupid asking. I've seen a few people mention how many more pounds till they drop from obese to overweight, or overweight to healthy...how do find that out?

    Click on the "Tools" tab. Then click on BMI and fill in your stats. It will calculate it for you automatically.

    10 more pounds for me!!!!!

    This is only an estimate though because I'm going of BMI height and weight charts. The last time I was overweight instead of obese was 13 years ago, so I'm very much looking forward to it.

    At my heaviest, (10# before I started MFP), I was 2.5# away from obese. I lost 10 on my own (I got laid off so wasn't going out for happy hour 3-4x each week or eating out for lunch EVERY day)....I am currently 10# away from being the top end of the healthy zone. Kind of sobering, because I didn't realize (at the time) that I was as big as I was. I mean, yea - I knew I needed to lose weight, but sheeez....totally didn't realize that I needed to lose THAT much :/

    When I started my weight loss journey last August, I had to lose 23 pounds to reach that magic "just overweight" number. Took me about 6 months, but I was so excited when I got there! I told my friends (most of whom are much skinnier), "I'm no longer obese, now I'm just overweight!" They acted like I was crazy! Now I've got another 17 pounds to go to hit the healthy range. Can't wait!

    22lbs, approx, so 15-20 weeks, all being well.

    I also have 28 lbs left to lose to be under the "obese" line. The last time I weighed that was 5 years (& 2 kids) ago. I'm really looking forward to being there again! :)

    Ugh, 58 to go. Really? There's some motivation to avoid sneaking in a cookie after dinner tonight!

    63 pounds until i reach "overweight" *sigh*
  • Ive got 30 to go. Seems like a daunting number!! However I just recently (like today) started this journey. Tomorrow morning I start my 30 day shred dvd. Hoping to see some real results from that. Ive got about 65-70 lbs to lose total!
