Gained 21 pounds in the past 6 weeks.. I'm self diagnosing myself with binge eating disorder over the past year, but I'm seeing a therapist about it on wednesday.

Anyways, this is just the most disappointing thing ever.
6 weeks ago I had hit my goal of 100 pounds (I'm 4'10"), but I've been really struggling with binging recently and gained back 21 pounds.
Well, I go off to college august 21 or around there so that is my goal date to get back down to 21 pounds. I have intense stretch marks from gaining the weight so fast :/

So that gives me 9 weeks to get there... that's about 2.33 pounds/week.
Is that possible if I work really hard and what could I do to make that weight?
When I lost it before it took a while because I'd go up and down but eventually just down.
I also have a vacation for about a week in there which will be touch as well as other small vacations with family and friends.

Any tips/advice/ideas/comments? Anyone in a similar situation?
I have lots of time to work out since I'm on summer vacation :)

p.s. if anyone wants to be a workout buddy, I'm down.

Maybe your Body is telling you that the goals you have set are unrealistic for it to maintain...No Matter WHAT the "theoretical" weight Charts say. Maybe your Goals should be Healthy Eating, seems that if you do that your Body will get where it needs to go and more than likely you will be able to maintain it.

Why were you binge eating? Was it emotional?

I think 100 lbs at 4'10" is manageable.

If you suffer from binge eating disorder i'd be careful that your eating enough and not loosing too much to quick as if your body is feeling deprived it may set you up for a binge session.
I d concentrate on finding a balance that will help with both- this may mean you wont be able loose as much as you want a week.....
but if it's stops a high calorie binge you will be better off.
I'd maybe go back to the plan you were doing when you hit your goal weight? maybe you wont get back to the "magic number" in time, but you will be alot closer to it than you are now :)

Good luck! and good on you for getting help! ( i have anorexia.... i know how hard it is to admit and to seek help for an ed)

yeah i think so but i have my first appointment with a therapist about it on wednesday so I'm hoping with tackling that while I'm being healthy again will help me stick to my goal and stuff.

Maybe instead of trying to drop 2.33 lbs per week, slow down and do 1 lb per week so you can learn to maintain your weight better. Sure it's slower, but if it helps you keep it off, that's a much better thing in the long run.
