So, if I do my BMR it gives me around 1,200. But if I switch my goals to maintenance it sets me at 1,500!
Does this seem wrong to anyone?
I have my activity set to sedentary so they should be pretty much the same, right?

No it seem correct. But I would increase about 100 calories per day a week at a time until you stop losing just to be sure you don't go over.

BMR is literally lying in bed level of activity. Just digesting food takes up some energy!

For a girl of 18, 1500 would be a minimum for maintenance. Eat more girl, you don't want to be skinny and icky.

I guess that makes sense :P I was just a little confused. Thought I would only be able to eat 1.200 forever(x

Indeed your BMR is the amount of calories you take just lying in bed doing nothing all day, to maintain your current body shape. If you get out of bed at all during the day, you use more than that. Etc. 1500 actually is even probably low. A day at the beach is probably worth a minimum of 500 calories. Probably double that.

To get your Maintenance calories it is your BMR multiplied by 1.2 for sedentary. 1500 calories would be right for a BMR of 1250 at a sedentary level.

I checked out your diary and as you haven't been eating even 1200 calories, your body may panic and store extra fat when you go back to eating properly. From everything I've read on here, that's just temporary and you start to lose again after a while. There are some good threads about it on here.

A lot of your diary sounds really yummy
