Can I make protein shakes the night before?

I know this is going to sound silly but I'm up for work at 5:00am. I have the world's loudest blender and I don't necessarily want to wake our 3 kids up that early (hubby would not be happy as he works 3rd shift lol). Anyway I wondered if any of you have ever made protein shakes the night before and refrigerated them for morning. Do they taste ok? Thanks!

When I have done it the night before they always end up clumpy and undrinkable the next day. Though that could depend on the brand of protein.

I make mine the night before and put them in my Rubbermaid tumbler for work the next day.
I just shake them up when I'm ready to drink them.
    Yes, they taste fine.

I guess I should add that I use:

    plain, unsweetened whey protein isolate
either unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk
    berries
I use splenda but I know that's not for everyone.

It would depend what's in them, really. What are you making yours out of?

Wouldn't hurt to try. I just use skim milk in mine so I'm sure that would be fine.

I dont have the answer but I have another idea that you could do!!!

Take 2 little yogourts (fat free, low calories like Source or silhouette)

Add a scoop of protein or half a scoop, mix it together

    Then add strawberries..

Its amazing, it tastes like pudding and its less calories then with milk :)

I was thinking like a banana, pb, and chocolate or strawberry banana. Oh and I use skim milk too.

They make little hand shakers that do not require a power blender, this might work.
