OT-life of chicken?

This question is probably moot since I am quite sure I know the answer, but I'll ask anyway. I took chicken breast out to thaw last night before I went to bed and I usually put it in the fridge in the morning to finish thawing but to be cold enough to ward off illness causing crap....well I somehow managed to look right past it this morning and not put it in the fridge. I won't be home until around 7 tonight, boyfriend may be home earlier but not much. After that long sitting out, it's trash right?
I can stop by the store and pick up some more, it's only like 5 bucks, but that annoys me to waste money like that. My brother lives in the same apt complex as us and while he hadn't left for work yet, he must have stayed over at his gf's last night so he couldn't run over and throw it in the fridge.:noway:

You already know the answer.
You should never thaw anything out at room temp...always in the fridge. If you need it quick, your best bet is the microwave.
Throw that puppy...er, I mean chicken....in the garbage.:sick:0
