Does anyone know a good way to stop soya milk separating when you add it to coffee? Or even why it happens.as it never happens in tea which is usually much hotter when I add it!

That really annoys me as well - apparently it's because coffee can be quite acidic and it reacts with the milk. I've tried adding it first, heating the milk but nothing seems to work. Have you tried lactose free milk as it doesn't happen with this.

Must admit it doesn't happen to mine...what a mystery!!! I use Sanutarium 99% fat free Soy (Australia)...and I drink a far bit of coffee....
    Hope you find a solution

I just quite like soya milk and use it for everything else so it seems silly to buy milk for coffee. I do find that if the soya milk is at room temperature or warmer first it helps. Also soya lattes or anything like that from Starbucks etc never separate so maybe the key is to heat it up first, but I don't always have the time or facilities.

I use different non-dairy milk for coffee. Goat's, almond, rice, oat etc all are ok (although oat milk can look pretty nasty and it's all personal preference in the end). Maybe you can find one that you can either buy in small cartons, or is UHT (long-life) or that you can substitute for soya in other things.
