Garmin 305

I have a gamin 305 with HRM but I don't seam to be able to make it work when doing an inside workout, Does anyone know how to set it just at a heart rate monitor for use inside just to log calories?

    It will not work inside. only on heart rate mode. calories will be based on distance, time, and your weight.

    Unfortnately, with a Garmin, you can only use it outdoors. I had to purchae another watch to use out doors.

    OK, you are getting bad information. You most certainly can use it indoors. The GPS feature will not work, but if you purchase the footpod accessory it will calculate your distance and of course the HRM will work with it as well. So if you have to treadmill, you can still make it work with your Garmin. Bad news: the foot pod is a bit spendy. Check Amazon.
