Sugar frustration

So I've been trying to pay more attention to my sugar because some seem to think that snacking my way through my weight loss could be detrimental to my sugar levels. All I have had today is a yogurt, a muffin, and a Fiber One granola bar, and I have already maxed out on sugar, but I have 1400 cals left to eat today. Any suggestions?

Look for yogurt with 13g of sugar or less (you might have to have just vanilla). Look for bars with less sugar. And muffins are just cake in disguise lol0

To comment on the yogurt. You could do more of a plain yoghurt (look at the sugars with it) and put in fruit for less sugar (still some)!0

I run into that more often than not. At the end of the day....I am usually in the negatives for sugar. I think my biggest problem is fruit. Look for things sweetened with splenda. It will cut down on the grams quick!0

all of those have a lot of sugar. I would just eat your fave and then replace the others with lower sugar options. I like fiber one yogurt..only 4g of sugar and you still get all of the great fiber!0

You are getting a lot of sugar in prepared foods. See if you can reduce that and try more fruit instead. I usually max on sugar, but it is primarily from fruit. At least with the fruit you are getting a good bit of other nutrients and fiber with it.0

Try some gum that might help. I agree w/ the plain yogurt.0

Instead of yogurt, I pack fresh peaches with cottage cheese. You sound like me though, and I want sweet stuff all the time too! Stay away from muffins, they really are never good lol. Pack hummus with carrot sticks and swap out one sweet treat for that. Pack some almonds too, which are high in good fat and low carb. I also pack an apple with a lite cheese stick. I try to have a bit of protein and sugar in a snack, instead of just sugar.0

you could increase your protein. also, make your own foods. for example, instead of buying a muffin with ridiculous amts of sugar, make your own with less sugar or even applesauce instead of sugar.0

Muffins are notorious sugar bombs, I don't think I would eat both a muffin and a fiber one bar. In fact, if you make your own muffins you can add flaxseed powder and eliminate the need for the fiber one bar altogether. You can also better control the amount of sugar in your muffin.0 -

Muffin = small serving of cake
Fiber one bar = rebranded chewy granola bar
Yogurt = sugary milk with some added germs0
