Pick your poison. I replaced bread with potatoes as much as possible For example this morning I had potatoes, so I won;t have bread today. I also try to eat predominately brown rice instead of white. It's still a carb, but you get more nutrients and your body has to work harder to break it down. I stay away from refined sugars and flours as much as possible. Instead of reg pasta I buy brown rice pasta or quinoa pasta. The taste is pretty much the same, but there are less carbs and calories. If you are a sandwich person, try either open faced sandwiches (on whole grain, not multi-grain bread), or lettuce wraps instead.0

The carbohydrate addicts diet. But you don't need to buy the book., You should stay away from sugary carbs, look up slow release carbs and insulin balancing carbs, those are the good ones. I have it down to a simple tactic. I eat protein every time I eat and I try to have my protein 2-1 over my carbs. I don't eat sugary carbs like donuts, cake, candybars, etc. I go very light on breads. Having protein with your carbs is supposed to stop the insulin reaction and keep you on an even keel. Eating protein at every meal and snack has ended my binges, left me feeling full on way less food and I feel better phsyically and mentally. Night and day.0

Well when you find a solution ... Let me know. I would sooner do a "Carb Only" diet than a "No Carb" one!
I would say "moderation" has helped me though. For example, for breakfast I only had a half a bagel because I knew I'd be eating a banana before my workout. Both are high in carbs, but balancing every little bit helps.
Also, I drink protein shakes that are low in carbs, which seems to help a bit too. But my two weaknesses remain: bread and sugar.0 -
I am right there with you when it comes carbs! I have somewhat over come it with rice cakes. Some people cant stand them, but I love them! Try the flavored ones as well. They make it all better!0

I'm with you! i love carbs. I really would like to increase my protein but it seems like I have to eat carbs with everything... bump...0

try the gluten free alternatives...the breads arent as nice as normal bread so that should be enough to put you off but i also substitute a lot of my carbs for potatoes or rice.
also add more protein and veg to your plate to make it look fuller so you arent tempted to fill your plate up with carbs)

I am a former carb addict.
I had gestational diabetes and was forced to count carbs with two pregnancies, which helped a lot, so I think just tracking your information daily on MFP will help.
Choose all whole grain breads and pastas and limit yourself to one 'starchy' food per meal. It gets easier to control if you just pay attention to it. Artificial sweeteners (Splenda in my coffee, etc.) are by no means an IDEAL choice, but they help you when you feel like you NEED a fix. I consider them a stepping stone or a cheat.
Also, check out recipes geared for diabetics, these are typically designed to be low carb.0 -
Increase your activity. If you are eating a lot of carbs and you are doing a ton of exercise then you are good to go. Carbs are an energy source so if you want to keep eating them then make sure you use them.0

I just have protein during the day so I can enjoy my carbs at night. Also, I have one day a week that I get to eat as many carbs as I can within my 4500 calories. Usually hit around 700gms.0

Try replacing some of your items that you'd want that are carbs. For instance, last night, I wanted mash potatoes to go with my steak but instead I made my own version of mash potatoes with califlower. It was delicious!0
