When I first started I didnt measure myself because I wasnt sure where I should be measuring my waist. Now I have lost about 10 lbs and feel like I have lots some inches at least around my waist. Can anyone give me some tips on where to measure and how to know you are measuring the same spot every time. Isn't the other measurement beside the neck your butt? I think I have a hard time figuring where to measure there too. Any tips would be appreciated.
Sorry this is a post and run I have to take my daughter to swimming lessons but I will be back on soon.

For the stomach, use the belly button.0

For my waist I measure at my belly button. I don't think it really matters where you measure as long as you measure the same place each time. I also measure my hips (at the largest part) and my chest.0

Wondering if it's not just personal preference....certain areas you're curious about, as I tend to measure my abs right under my rib cage AND right above my pelvic bone.0

I personally measure the neck, chest, arms, waist & hip. Measuring at the same location each time is key, I use landmarks on my body as a way to remember where I measure...for example if you have a scar or freckle or something...for your waist you want to measure were you see a fold when you move your upper body side to side, then I would recommend measuring how far from your belly button that area is. Hope that helps a little at least.0

For my waist I measure the smallest part between my chest and hips which to me is my natural waist. As though I'm measuring the thinnest part of a hour glass) For my hips it is the biggest part around my butt & hips. (widest part of the bottome half of the hour glass) Really, I guess it doesn't really matter as long as you measure in the same place every time!
