I think the general consensus is to eat them back, or at least a portion of them back., I try and eat half of mine back and it works pretty well!

One thing for sure - EAT YOUR ALLOTTED CALORIES! Some people DO eat their exercise calories and some DON'T! It's something you have to decide. I used to be afraid, but now I've lost 19 pounds, so I have been eating within 200 calories of my exercise calories and even up to and have had good results! I feel SO MUCH better eating the extra bit of food. It really will make a difference in how you feel in the long run - like you can DO THIS! That is what you want - success in the long run, not losing 2 pounds a week. That isn't realistic despite what we have been hit over the head with for decades. Good luck! = D

You should be burning more calories than you take in. Eat more protein, ie lean meats. Stay away from sugars, especially high fructose corn syrup that is the worst! You can also choose foods that are considered "empty/negative" calories like broccoli and celery. Also try to stay away from starches. Potatoes, pasta and rice retain the most water in women. Find which of these three help you burn or metabolize the best and go from there: carbs, protein and fat. For example, on the days I eat more carbs and fats than protein I gain or stay the same weight, and also feel the most fatigued. But the more protein I eat, the better I feel and the more I lose. Hope that helps. Also, if you're trying to burn fat keep your HR in your happy fat burning zone, not cardio. The cardio zone will make you burn muscle not fat.

Yes, you should eat them back. I think the general consensus is that you shouldn't have less than 1200 net calories at the end of the day. If you are under 1200 calories at end of day, MFP will comment on your diary page that you aren't eating enough. Listen
to them. Eat the calaories back!
