    Rest day for me too!

As a follow up to yesterday's question about how to eat before an evening workout, I changed things up yesterday and I felt pretty good. I ate a few handfuls of dry cereal (Corn Chex) and a peanut butter banana about an hour before my evening workout. I actually felt really good and was able to do my speedwork without any issue. I ran THREE miles at a 7:30 pace! I've never done that before, and I was so psyched that I was actually able to do it. Granted it was on the treadmill, which tends to be easier for me, but still, it is definitely a personal milestone. Anyway...after my workout (around 9:30 PM), I came home a had a yogurt and some melon, so I didn't go to bed hungry. I think peanut butter was the key.

Happy Friday, runners. Hope you have a good one!

Ok, I have had a few rest days because my knee is bugging me so instead of running today I will be walking with my knee band on. My back is tight and I know it is because I need to move, plus I have been bogged down with work this week.

Anyone experience pain on the inner side of the knee running up into the thigh? If so what did you end up having to do about it.. I know I probably need to go see my doc, just tired of the docs this summer :grumble:

    Ok, done venting

I was scheduled for 4 yesterday, but I could only get 3 in. Had to get my DD to early choir practice before school. Then I had a meeting after work and another in the evening! I was beat last night!!

So, today is scheduled as a rest day, and I took it this morning, but I feel guilty and lazy. May at least try to get a TJ video in tonight.

Need to study the P90X manual this weekend so I can start. I have 8 scheduled for Sunday, so I'll probably start Monday with the weight training portion, at least, until my race in 2 weeks.

Enjoy your rest days everyone, and I hope our sick and injured are on the mend!

today waas again only a two miler. I worked on some speed bursts in there as well. I am on a decline after training phase, but I am gonna get back on adding milage next week meaning sunday. I ran away all my bad mood and felt killer after. The weather was absolutely perfect for it.

I need to run today, but it will most likely be after the baby goes down tonight. Not that she doesn't keep me up. My gps receiver came in yesterday, and after spending a few hours looking for the right software, I believe I've found it. I CAN'T WAIT TO USE IT!!!!!

Anyway, I've tested it out driving, and with the exception of the voice prompts, the setup rivals some of the high dollar gps systems. All for a $40 receiver. Can't imagine needing the voice. (can you imagine getting told on your run to turn right in 40 feet?) I'll post about it as soon as I get the chance. So far I'm super excited to use it.

Did four this morning and plan for five Saturday. I have a nasty blister on the back of my ankle that rubs against my shoes. I hope it goes away. Maybe some time for new shoes...

Try some mole skin in the mean time -- that works for me sometimes. Good luck.. maybe new shoes are the answer!
