My Rollercoaster

Mine is a success story -- in progress. Today I went to my chiropractor who is a family friend and hasn't seen me in about 4 months. He commented that It looked like I had lost weight and was looking really good! I have not yet posted on this message board yet but after spending the last few nights scrolling through others pictures and tips, I decided it would give me a good boost to post my story as well.
This is me at my heaviest back at Christmas in 2004. I was around 280lbs at that time while I was going to school.
After I graduated, that summer I lost around 80lbs (doing really nothing at all other than doing a lot of touring, lack of sleep and being young enough to just have it work haha) until 2007 when I looked great weighing around 190 (I have a bigger frame so I looked pretty good at that)
And in April at my nephew's baptism, I saw this picture of myself weighing 240 and knew something had to be done.
I downloaded the mfp app on my phone on a whim and now I swear by it. Its around my 60th day and I've lost 21lbs. I've lost a lot more mass than weight but that's what counts right? I have 59lbs to go to reach my goal but I'm loving how easy its been to actually stick to something for once. Portion control and walking 30-45 minutes on the tredmill every day after work. I am the maid of honor in a wedding in October and I cant wait to look great for it!!

Good Job! This site makes you pay more attention to the nutrition content of your food, especially the mobil ap, which has the whole break down of your day available. It's truly amazing.
I look back at what I used to eat (drink!) and I am just shocked. The human body is an amazing thing, considering how few health problems I had while eating junk for 24 years.
I am about 8 months in, and have had a total diet overhaul. I can't even count the number of people I have turned onto the sight, just by looking the way I do now.
I wish you the same success and healthy living!0
