I Know I am Finally Ready

Hi all,
My name is Andrea and I am a 19 year old college student and I have been overweight for most of my life. I am 208lbs currently, which looks like even more on me since I am just under 5'2. My goal weight is 125-130lbs. But I would like to be about 180 by the end of august.
The most I have ever weighed was 216lbs and that was around New Year's Eve of 2010. I have never reached that number again, but fairly close.
I have been struggling with my weight since I was in elementary school, and I have tried so many different techniques that probably only caused more weight gain. And when I went to college, I gained 30lbs in my freshman year. I couldn't believe it. But after many tears and much disappointment, I have realized that I was not ready to lose this weight for all of those years. Because if I was ready, I would not have chosen to eat these fatty foods time and time again. But now, I am truely ready.
I know that I am ready because I am accepting the fact that this is a journey and that there is no magic potion. I understand that there will be set backs and struggles but I cannot continue to give up. Food has made me feel guilty for years and I am now taking my life back.
Hopefully, with the support of this community, this journey will go fairly smoothly. I look forward to supporting you all also.
(btw. I am not using any program for this weightloss journey, just good old watching my food intake and exercise!)
