After very excitedly completing the 20 min run last week, I smugly thought to myself that today would be a walk in the park (run 5 mins, walk 3, run 8, walk 3, run 5). Oh how wrong I was.... that was HARD!!!! Literally halfway through the second interval I very nearly gave up. What's going on?????

I haven't done C25k, but I worked myself up from walking to running for over an hour at a time...honestly, I have always thought it was harder to walk then run instead of just running the whole time. I tried the interval running wth my daughter (12) and while she loved it, I was never so glad to get back to straight running.

Sounds like you're doing great, though - keep up the good work!

I get like that too, one day I have an easy run, the next not so much. Maybe you're tired ...

this will happen from time to time with this program it happened to me several times, dont give up. rest a day and then try this day again it will be much easier the next time you try... i was on a blog while i was doing my c25k and we called this a fail day, no harm done just repeat this day a few times so that its not so hard on you. you'll find the next time you try it you will get through it. idk why just is.

I find it much easier to just keep running...once I stop, when I start again I fatigue so much faster, once I hit the 20 min I ditched the program and did my own thing.

I remember that same thought, too, when I did that first 20 min run and was so excited to start week 6 and then I felt like, UGH!!! But I made it...I didn't give in to the "I want to quit" feeling and I just completed week 9 day 3 on Monday! Today I ran 35 minutes straight! You can do it.

I got up to week 8 & had to rest due to a hip injury. But when the runs initially started to get longer, I felt it was more difficult when the little voice came on "you are half way done" or "one minute remaining" or "last run coming up". UGH!

I did much better after I turned off the notifications (in settings menu). Then I could just zone out to my music and run. Even the 28 minute ones seemed to be over before I knew it since I didn't have that stupid voice distracting me! LOL!

    Good luck!

I saw this title and just went (Oh my gosh, I know right!?) I just did week 6 day 1 today. I did it with my friend who hasn't been doing the program, but agreed to run with me...

SERIOUSLY... after I ran 20 minutes (kinda hard for me still) I felt great and like I could accomplish anything! Hahaha... seriously!

But I ran today and halfway through 8 minutes I was like >A> (why is this so hard to do?!)... haha I did it, but yeah... just funny to see I wasn't the only one... I think it's really a mind thing as well.
