Hey Guys,
I have been using a piece of crap analog scale that cost 5 bucks at Walmart and I am finally fed up with it. I have to recalibrate it every time I use it, I will weigh myself 5 consecutive times and 5 different numbers (In 5 minutes) and I can barely read the tiny numbers and ticks even with glasses on. SO... I am thinking for my own sanity, and to make weigh ins more accurate, I should be picking up a new scale. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to get or where to get it? I was hoping to pick it up this evening.
Thanks so much!
Whitney

The accuracy on this scale is supposed to be top notch. It drives me nuts to stand on the scale, see a weight, get off, get right back on, and see a completely different weight. Read the comments below the listing on amazonI've got one ordered. Yay

I'd suggest a digital one, so you don't have to guess at were the needle is. We have one that is blue and glass, and says weight watchers on it. My wife bought it. I suggest letting your wife go get one, as it will sit in the bathroom and if it doesn't match the shower curtain, that could be a serious problem.0

I have one of those scales that have a glass surface (tempered glass). I did buy mine through walmart.com (can't remember the brand, sorry) for about $35. A lot of people like the Biggest Loser scales
I know how frustrating that can be to get different weights all the time. Make sure you have the scale in the exact same spot on your bathroom floor every time. Make a mark on the tile if you have to. Also be sure to keep the floor clean and periodically check the bottom to make sure the feet are clear of hair and junk that gets on a bathroom floor. Also be sure to put in fresh batteries as needed. Good luck!0 -
Hello!
I have a health o meter professional body fat scale. I got it at walmart for $30-35 and I LOVE it! I have had it for 1-2 months. It saves up to 12 weigh ins for up to 4 people. You can put your weight, height, sex in and your goal. Tells you how much you have lost, how much more to your goal, BMI, hydration level, bone mass and some other stuff. It is great. I would highly highly recommend it. Good luck!

Some cheap $20 one from Walmart that's digital. I had one of those $5 scales before too, it um...didn't make the cut when I moved out of my apartment. Got SO sick of it being different every single time.0

Go to Bed Bath and Beyond. That's where I got mine and it does your weight, BMI, and many other things. It's a glass scale that is digital. It's a WW endorsed scale, and the one my sister uses, she got there and it's the biggest loser one.
Both are great. They are both between 30-45 dollars, so a good investment towards your weight loss!0 -
My Biggest Loser scale gives me a difference of +/- 3-5# every time I stand on it. It's ridiculous. I changed the batteries, tried different surfaces (tile floor vs linoleum vs wood) and nothing seemed to matter. I could get on that thing, weigh, get off, get RIGHT back on and weigh 5# more than I just did, get back off, get back on, presto, just lost 3#! I thought maybe I wasnt centered on it correctly, so I made sure to stand tall, straight, even on both feet.....still with the inaccuracy.0

Best scale and helps you get a decent idea of your LBM which comes in handy when you want to get a clue of your body composition and not rely on BMI to say if you are fat or not cause a BMI is so much of a joke!0 -
my wgt always is different when i weigh myself on a bathroom scale vs. a doctors scale. when i comes to accuracy, i was told the doctors scale because you can always calibrate it. i think im gonna get one that gives your body fat0

I don't recommend my digital Weight Watchers scale:
http://www.amazon.com/Weight-Watchers®-WW78-Conair-Chrome/dp/B002N5N336/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1308753651&sr=8-5
It is all over the map. Depending on where I place it in the bathroom, my weight can fluctuate a lb (yeah, because there are pockets of unbalanced gravity in my bathroom?). It also will get stuck on a previous weight. There is no way that I weigh the exact same amount today that I weighed yesterday to the ounce!
I don't have any recs, but I wanted to dissuade you from purchasing this one.0 -
Thanks so much guys. I will see if any of these are at Walmart tonight but if not, I will order one of Amazon. Thank you for all of the advice.0
