Running Embarrassment

I used to get weird about running outside until I started running with my dog. She provided a distraction AND she would regularly 'check in' with me and if I was/am nervous or not in a good mindset she would get leash reactive and it wasn't good. As long as I stayed confident she didn't feel the need to 'protect' me from the world.0

You are all correct...I have never been considered "fat", but the bottom part of my body does tend to outgrow the rest...hence embarrassment in spandex!
I got over it after doing some running in my old baggy capri workout pants...A whole bunch of us did a 15k run here that is a huge local event every year. I had to buy a brand new outfit...Imagine the buzz...
Anyway, I have had nothing but support from the experts - because believe me, I have never heard the "look how fast" comment! My motto is, the longer it takes me to get there, the more calories I burn!!
And when I see others running, no matter WHAT size, I am always like - you go!!
Happy running!0 -
