Hello everyone!
I found MFP on Monday on Android Market and decided to join.
I'm a 22 yrs old Icelandic girl, looking to get healthy and in shape.
I've had weight issues for at least 5 years now, but always had poor body image. I danced ballet when I was 7-12yrs old, got accepted into a dance academy but decided not to go because I "wasn't built like a ballerina". At age 15 I started playing team handball and loved it. A year later I had slimmed down somewhat, looked great and felt awesome. I quit handball at 19, the reason being that I wasn't as fit and didn't have the same stamina as the other girls and therefore didn't really make the team.
Since I was about 17 I've gained weight steadily and now finally I have had enough. I said before I have poor body image; I felt chubby as a child and today I don't feel like I weigh as much as I do, so it's the other way around now. I see how big I am when I look in the mirror, but going about my daily business I don't feel this heavy.
The main reason for my lifestyle change (finally) is that I want to be healthy and "normal" sized, I want to be able to run around with my kids when I have them and I want to be able to perform in my (future) dream job as a photographer.
On Monday I weighed 140 kg or 308 pounds. My ultimate goal is 75 kg / 165 lbs (at least under 80/176) but I've set MFP to a closer goal of -10% or 126kg/277. I then plan on small steps towards my ultimate goal, because I know I won't feel as motivated with such a long road ahead of me!
I'm having Herbalife shakes for breakfast and lunch and adding fruits to them, I also take the vitamin and fiber supplements. For snacks and dinner I try to eat healthy, good food.
Friend me if you want and thanks for reading
