exercise compulsion?

I decided to take it easy today to give my muscles a breather. I try to do that every few days, but I find that when I do this I have a compulsion to go jump on the elliptical or the wii fit and exercise. I mean even today I still did 34 minutes on th wii fit.
Does anyone else have this problem? I have been on here for about 3 weeks and wonder if it will slow down.

It's just as important to give your muscles a break from exercise as it is to exercise. If you feel like you REALLY need to go workout, do something simple like go for a walk (not run) on your days off.0

I don't think that it's a compulsion - I think the human body desires to be active every day. Cardio every day (elliptical, walking as someone else suggested) is probably not harmful unless you are doing it to extreme excess. I don't believe strength training every day is recommended.0

Gosh I hope it doesn't stop! I've been at it sine Nov 2011. I do 3 days of weights (M, W, F) and 3 days of cardio (T, TH, Sat) and take Sunday off. Which means that I usually mow the lawn or do yardwork, sometimes go for a short hike/walk with my kids. Not really cardio or weght stuff but still moving none the less. If I am sore after , well it is usually when I bump up the weights, then I take the next day off but usually that is all I need, is one extra day off.0
