It's very simple. Talk to your doctor before you eat less then 1200 calories a day. Most doctors recommend a minimum of 1200 a day. That's why this sight does. Remember, this site says when you sign up that it is suggested and it is not a doctor.
That being said, your doctor will know your body the best and what is good for it. I urge everyone to go before they start their diet, but especially if one goes against what is considered standard by the medical profession.0 -
Make sure you are also working out and adding it to the calories burned!0

I know that for myself I try to keep my calories between 1200-1300 regardless of my exercise. I try to eat a big breakfast filled with lots of protein and whole grains. I have found that helps me a lot. Sometimes my calories will be around 500 for breakfast. I wait a half hour to an hour and then I work out. Not sure if this works for everyone, but I've lost 19 lbs in the last month.
yes not eating right and you will lose weight. The problem is when you start eating normal meals again you will gain weight twice as fast. losing 19 lbs in a month is very unsafe and unhealthy. Medical professionals study people and their bodies for years at time before suggesting what they do.
Medical Fact: losing more then 2 lbs a week is unhealthy and dangerous.
Medical Fact: losing weight by not eating enough food will put your body into survival mode.
Medical Fact: It is not hard to lose weight if you don't eat, what is hard is to keep the weight off.
Medical Fact: It has been proven time and again, that no diet works, only lifestyle changes and not eating is not a lifestyle choice.
The Fact is, if you don't eat food, you will freak out your body and it will take all the food in put it into fat storage. Meaning, if you eat normally after you lose weight, you will gain that weight back twice as fast and end up weighting more then when you started.
Something to look out for. I have talked to and read articles by multiple nutritionist. Plus my dad is a doctor and I have always had his advice thru the years.0
