foods that give you energy

any foods that naturally give you a boost of energy (or foods to have a combo of)? i am trying not to have a lot of caffeine and i need something to get me through my midday slump!

try going for a walk about the time you hit ur slump or a little before. walking at lunch always perks me up for the afternoon. Other than that make sure you get enough protein for lasting energy. most mid-day slumps are do to a carb overload for lunch and then you crash.0

complex fruits like apples or kiwi - they have natural sugars that break down over time and can give you the boost you need. are you having protein in the morning? that's another way to get energy w/o caffeine - start the morning off with two eggs, scientifically proven to help you lose weight & get through the day because the protein keeps you full and energized.0

I try to do trail mix...I make my own. Mixed nuts (pecans, walnuts, and brazil nuts) with ghirardelli all natural 60% dark chocolate chips. Satisfying and a tiny bit sweet. Keep in mind nuts have alot of calories, but a handful is enough to satisfy.0
