Hi Guys,

This is my first time doing something like this. It seems like it's more of a lifestyle change more than it's a diet. I'm really hoping that it works because i've tried everything else and I want to put my best foot forward. So far from reading everyone's posts you all seem like a great community and very supportive. I'm looking forward to having a healthier lifestyle and hopefully loose the weight as a result. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions for a newbie.

    Congratulations on starting your journey :) This is the beginning of a new you! :)
    This tracker is awesome! Just make sure you keep an eye on your total fat intake for the day etc, you might be eating 1200 calories a day, but eating foods with high fat content. If you eat too much fat, even if still eating 1200 calories, your body will store the excess fat....Also keep up with the exercise as well! That's one of the main parts to any lifestyle change..

    Welcome! You've got the right attitude - this is a healthy lifestyle! Best advice - eat healthy, exercise, and let the pounds fall off as they will. You'll be able to sustain and maintain your weight loss best if you follow the calorie guides that MFP, or your doctor/nutritionist provide. It took awhile to put it on...it's going to take time to take it off!
