So when I run my band says I burned waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more calories then MFP says I did. Which one do you think is more accurate??

MFP gives you an average of what most people would burn. A HRM is more accurate to you, but it's got to be an HRM set up with your weight, age, etc.0

My Sport Band is set up for me. So your saying the sport band is more accurate???0 -
Hard to say... I have the Nike chip in my shoe which is frequently off by 10-20%. I use it as a guide but don't treat it as gospel.
If it is like the NIke chip, you should be able to calibrate it somehow.
For accuracy though you would be better with a Heart Rate Monitor.0 -
Before I started using my HRM, MFP gave me way more calories. I want to go back to MFP..LOL...ok maybe not

Mine is calibrated. Its always right on the money as far as how many miles I go.0 -
is ur chip set to ur current weight? i find that my chip and mfp are pretty similar to tell me how how many calories burned.0

Me too! I also had a cheap HRM w/o the chest strap..you just touch the face often to get your heart rate. It had me burning twice the calories I showed on my first use of the PolarBut I want to be accurate so we will go with this for now!

I can't attest to the Nike band, I've never had one. I have an actual HRM with chest strap. Most accurate you can get regardless of distance, time, etc.0
