WILLPOWER POEM

Options
Hi All,

Thought I would share this Poem from Hylton Pratt of Beaworthy, Devon that appeared in yesterdays Daily Mail UK

Some say it doesn't matter
That we grow a little fatter
We'll still reach four-score
years , or even more.

So stuff yourself with toffees
Drink immense amounts of coffees
And then of course,
Just stuff a little more!

For the medics have decided
And they shouldn't be derided-
Though I am sure they'll change
their minds again quite soon.

But meanwhile, keep on stuffing.
Go on have another muffin,
And an extra piece of cake
this afternoon.

Though perhaps, we should be careful,
Even be a little fearful,
For medics, like our rulers,
can be wrong

Soon they'll say we should
try harder,
Rearrange the nation's larder
Slim down; imagine what you'd
look like in a thong!

The problem is the lagging
Around our tummies sagging-
Unless we have a tummy
tuck of course

It remains a sad reminder,
No sight could be unkinder,
Of those happy times we stuffed
just like a horse.

Well, alas I am too tubby,
My wife has too much hubby,
And she tries, dear heart, to
cut me down to size.

But her cooking is to die for,
Her puddings are to sigh for,
And her man admits he's
not over-wise.

So, I'll diet from tomorrow,
Though the thought
occasions sorrow,
To no longer be a glutton
any more.

But I fear that if you meet me,
Next month I bet you greet me
And I'll still weigh just as
much - or even more!

Please don't take this literally and keep up the good fight to get our weight just right!
