Help! I'm Shrinking

Okay, I know this may sound crazy, but I can't seem to quit losing weight! I reached my final goal a little over a month ago and since then I've lost 8 more pounds. Now don't get me wrong, I feel fine, it's just my hubby commented last night that I might want to think about gaining a little back because my cheeks were looking sunken in & I'm starting to look older. Now I'm only 36, so, "you're starting to look older" isn't something I wanted to hear! And my hubby is super supportive of me losing to get to my goal weight (in fact he started doing the calorie counting with me and has lost almost 60 pounds), he just doesn't want me to lose anymore because he doesn't (and really neither do I) think I would look healthy any lower. I know that I exercise now more than I did in the beginning, but I honestly try to eat all calories back because I don't want to lose anymore. So, could it be that the calories MFP says I burned during exercise is off or is this something that my body is just going through & it will eventually all work out?

Have you changed your 'goal' on MFP to 'Maintenance-Mode", after losing the initial weight that you wanted to? You might need to change your daily calorie goal to maintenance instead of 'weight-loss' mode.

I can't say what works and what does, but I've found for me, anything I try takes nearly two solid weeks to level out. When I first started eating calorie counts to maintain, I gained weight, four pounds. By two weeks in, I was bouncing between my goal weight and three pounds which is what I expected. The best (and could be worst) advice I would give is try adding some calories without resorting to junk food. Maybe so milk, yogurt, smoothies, almonds, peanut butter, low fat ice cream, berries, or whole wheat breads. Stick to it for a week or more and see what happens. If it doesn't work - add more. :) Good Luck!!

Reset your calorie goal. Put yourself in maintenance and eat all of your exercise calories. Depending on what kind of activity you are doing you may still end up losing a pound or two. After 2 weeks if you're maintaining leave everything as is, if your still losing, up your calories by 200 per day. If you start to gain, check sodium first (don't jump to conclusions) if it's not high sodium drop your calories by 100 per day. MFP helps you figure what you need to lose, and it can help you figure what you need to maintain.
It's hard to change how our brains think and I think most people who start maintenace are nervous, but we're lucky we have MFP support!

    Good luck:)

PS I have the same problem if I drop too much weight I look older too, hate it! But on the upside it will keep us healthy and not just skinny:)
