I was using a cheap analog scale to weigh in. I had gotten myself down to 178 lbs, a 10 lb loss, yesterday. After weighing myself a couple of times consecutively I realized that the scale fluctuated with each weigh in by up to 3 lbs. So I decided to pick up a digital scale at Walmart. When I booted it up and stepped on... instead of seeing 178 lbs, I saw 185. I got back on the old scale, 178 lbs. What the heck... I just weighed myself at work (I work in a hospital) and it's congruent with the digital scale weight. My old scale was calling me 7 lbs lighter... I was never a starting weight of 188, I was 195. I feel... like I haven't just lost ten pounds... instead, I feel like I have gained 7. I am really upset about it all, even though I know that I shouldn't be... I just... feel like I have run the first mile in a marathon and then suddenly they decide to extend the goal line...
I feel deflated.
Edited to Add: I am purchasing a recommended consistant scale off of amazon and returning this digital one as soon as it arrives.
