Fruit and Dairy

Does it really matter what time of day (morning, noon or night) that fruit and dairy items are eaten?

I was at bootcamp last week and the trainer said something about not eating fruit after noon due to something about our bodies not being able to break them down later in the day because we aren't as active. She had stated on the bootcamp eating plan that you should have a snack before bed but it shouldn't be dairy or fruit.....I didn't really hear the explaination on this point.

My thought is that it doesn't really matter when you consume your calories just so long as you aren't going over your limit and you're eating at the proper times to fuel your day.

Any input?

Yes It matters I would eat all high carbs and sugar in the morning so you can a least work it off.

But why would having those calories at night be detrimental to weight loss? Calories in are calories in.

I don't think it has any effect on your weight loss but I would probably avoid sugary foods before bed for practical reasons: I don't want sugar when I'm trying to sleep!

    What's the bootcamp eating plan?
