Running vs. walking on incline

The fuel you burn during exercise has NO effect on long-term weight loss. None. A) the total amount of fat burned during exercise is tiny to begin with. The differences between a "fat burning" and a "non fat burning" workout are even tinier.
Whatever happens during an exercise session, the body compensates the rest of the day, so that the net difference is: nada.
Can you, or someone else, please explain this? I realize this was like 4.5 years ago, but this thread is back and I'm finding it really interesting, but I'm really confused by this part. I know you can't be saying that exercising is not a good way to lose weight/burn fat (because in a later comment you said "All workouts are good for weight loss"), but that's what it sounds like to me. Maybe I'm completely dense and I apologize, and I know that your comment probably went on to explain what you meant, but I'm just not getting it. Please help me get it! Thanks.
