Morning!
I did push ups today including my test. I did 50 consecutive, which is pretty cool but I did that two weeks ago on my last test. :grumble: I was hoping for 60. Anyway, I managed to get in 170 with breaks, so I guess that's okay.
Goals for new challenge:
Shred 4-5x a week
Walking 3x a week as weather permits
Drinking at least 64 oz of water a day
Stick to a routine/schedule
Keep things low key 3-4 days out of the week (for my son's sake and mine)
Get more organized around the house
Maybe I should write these down.

Today's goals
Drink water
Shred
Clean up the house!
Looking forward to seeing everyone's goals for the new challenge! Love you guys!:smooched:

    Howdy all!

My goals for this next challenge:

    1. Ride my bike for at least one errand a week - this has been easy thus far - I may up it to two or three

    2. Weights - 2x a week. I'm not going to stick to the 2 hours a week. I don't like weights that much and though I like my class, I don't like going at 7:30pm on Mondays.

    3. Yoga - 3x a week. this is much easier when I teach one of the classes

    4. Dessert - once a week - though I'm trying to reconcile this with "Intuitive Eating" as well as the goal for the fruits and veggies - I will ask the dietician next week if she thinks these are ok goals.
I will continue to track my calories but try my best not to care if I'm over or under. I will also continue to write little notes on why I ate what I did.

Also I'm training for my ride on the 18th. So lots of biking. I happened to have a windfall yesterday of the same amount of money that the bike I want is. I sooo want this bike - it's so much easier to ride than the one I'm using now. My prudent side (which isn't that strong) says use the money for property taxes (which will be due in 3 months and we only have 1/2 saved up). I could allow myself to get a cheaper bike, but I think you should wait to get what you really want. This is actually like intuitive eating: I will still want the nicer bike if I get a cheaper bike, so if I just get the nicer bike to begin with, I will save $300 (or calories  ). I think I will promise myself the better bike for my birthday in January.

Today I'm teaching two yoga classes and I will do some walking.

    Happy Workouts!

I am here! I am just trying to figure out what I want my goals to be for this challenge... and work is crazy so I may not get around to posting them until later.

Mary, I agree with getting the nice bike for your birthday in January. How nice that Melissa was able to grant your wish!

Amazing, isn't it? And we had all that financial trouble and my wonderful parents took care of it! Thanks Genii.

So, I've been really struggling with "goals" this time, mostly because the status of my body is a little up in the air right now. So, in the best case scenario, here's the new plan:

Mondays: elliptical (endurance) and yoga at my gym.
Tuesdays: weights/pushups and cardio (either spin or more elliptical w/ intervals)
    Wednesdays: bikram
    Thursdays: weights/pushups and spin
    Fridays: bikram
    Saturdays: weights/pushups
Sundays: bikram, or elliptical, or a walk (essentially something of my choice)

    Also:
Taking one day a week off (can choose a different day each week)
At least one more week of not recording food, (still not sure if I'm going to start again)
    vitamins and waters everyday.:flowerforyou:

I'm also taking a bit of time to think about my goals. Trying to walk the line between being realistic and being harder on myself for areas where I know I need work. I'm going to post a bit later on.

I know for sure that I want to incorporate more yoga, although I've been saying that for so long now that perhaps there's a reason I'm just not doing it. Maybe I'm just not excited about it and shouldn't be forcing it?

Another goal for sure is to do more outside, especially hiking. I love the gym but realize that when it comes to actually running on the beach or going for a hike, I'm not super fit. Perhaps I've been doing too much elliptical and not mixing it up enough.

Just some things to mull over today...

    Mary -- buy the bike!!

Sooooo, Melissa, does this mean my million dollars is on the way too? Mary, can you set a short-term goal that will help you get the bike before the new year? Lord knows you deserve it!

I am on my period and hovering at 149 first thing in the morning (I average 3+/- lbs fluctuation/day) so I technically met my goal last week. Aiming for 147 by next monday assuming a pound or two of retained fluid will be gone. My other goal is to learn spanish. So, I ate like an el cerdo this weekend. My son wants his la rana blanket all the time. And my los pies are killing me. Hey, I said I'd learn 3 new words each week, how to properly use them comes later! :blushing:

I have to say how nice it is to see people adding a mental-health goal to this. Good job for recognizing where else you can make life changes! :flowerforyou:

I did 5 miles on the gazelle (hence the los pies problem) and am going to run & lift tomorrow. Over on cals, but working on that for the rest of the week.

Have a great night and way to kick October SBF off! :drinker:
