Hey Blues,

Sorry it's been a while but here's the new board. Chrissy and I are starting over (hence the stars).

This week has been crazy busy but I think it will continue to be that way for the next little bit. I've been starting to get in the habit of logging again. My goal for the next week is to get all of my water in.

    Yeah I started over as of Monday. I didn't send you my weight, but I last weighed in at 272.5. :frown: I've done pretty good this week. I've made better eating choices (except for today) and I've done some exercise each day. I'm going to weigh myself again tomorrow morning since I usually weigh in on Fridays.

    Results of Mom's angiogram: All three arteries are blocked and have calcification. The dr thought that possibly he could insert a stint in one or two, so we told him to try. He came back and said that upon further examination, they all looked very complicated, and he could try, but it would be risky. We had him stop at that point so that she could talk to the drs and make her own decision. She will talk to drs and decide when they get back to her, probably not before tomorrow. I just got home, and will wait to see what happens before deciding to go back.

    Starting over. Sounds great to me!! We need a challenge of sorts what should we do?

    I am going to start the beck diet solution really soon if anyone is interested in joining me. It's all about changing the way you respond to food by changing your thoughts. I would love to have company!!

    It is a book. The Beck Diet solution. I found it at the library but have a copy being mailed from amazon. $5 It is great! I am going to start officially on Monday, you are free to join me if you want, I will just tell you what to do and show what I have done. (I started another board about it but no one seems that interested yet) I would love to have company on the journey!

    Hope you are all doing well. I've joined Weight Watcher's with a friend. Hopefully I can get my eating back under control. Back still hurts, getting another epidural on Thursday. Good luck on the new diet plan. I'll try to keep in touch more often.

    P.S. Starting over sounds really good. I reset my ticker...WOW! My reality check just bounced:laugh:

    Tammy, best of luck with your epidural--I am so sorry you are still in so much pain! It will be so nice to be going to weight watchers with a friend. I know I do a lot better when I have someone helping me along. We can do this!

    I'm so excited and I'm making this My Year to getting healthy, No Matter what happens.

    I'm glad to see the familiar faces again.

    I'm currently working on P90x and Insanity daily and also throw in some running.

    Mayra it is an awesome book! Check out my thread and you can go through it with me! So far so good--I ate a great breakfast and then a not so great lunch and have fizzled from there but tomorrow is another day! Have a great one!

    Mary- I'm sending well wishes for your mother's health. Hope all goes well.

    Debnu- I did read your thread and learned about the cognitive aspect of dieting. Sounds very interesting, since the body and mind are very connected.

    I'm feeling pretty good thus far and have been getting my morning workouts. My goal has been to create a lifestyle that I can keep up with forever basically and not just another crash diet. I'm just tired of dieting, and I want to start living.

    I am packing today. I am taking my grandson to church camp tomorrow. It's a special camp for grandparents and grandchildren, and lasts until Saturday. I plan to go to spend the night at my mother's house, then my grandson and I will be able to visit her in the hospital tomorrow on our way to camp. I won't have internet while I am there. Everyone have a good end of the month, and I will see you later this weekend!

    Well, this weekend, I'll just be relaxing, not much plans. But...I might go out to the park, if it doesn't rain.

    Hope everyone had a great fourth! We had new fireworks laws allowing aerials--quite the spectacle last night. A lot of fun though! I took the weekend off but am now back in action! How are all of you doing?

    I'm doing pretty well, considering the july 4th weekend. Only ate out one day, on july 4th, we went to a them park, and for dinner I had the mexican chicken salad, tried some nachos grande, and for dessert a kid's cup carvel ice cream. Not too bad..and I think I didn't go over my calories.

    I have had too many treats around the house--meals are good, snacks are not...I am working on it though!

    Thanks debnu.

    I'm so sorry I've been MIA, I have been logging in and starting to calculate my food but I've been so busy that I haven't had a chance to really write.

    Currently, I've only been doing my ultimate frisbee and baseball which is mostly cardio so I've decided after my legs starting to be in pain that I need to switch it up. I'm currently looking into doing a bootcamp class and potentially personal training classes as well - I just have to figure out what it will cost in order to complete it. I have a friend who is currently has a personal trainer and she's doing well with it so it's just a matter of finding the time for myself to schedule in the class.

    No worries ultimate. Let me know how personal training goes, I have contemplated it. I don't have a gym membership and have looked up trainers that would come to my home but that is as far as it goes. I need to just get up and start doing p90x again...No excuses!!

    I was right where I started again weight wise this morning. I am thinking we should all start over again. Tell me what you think! If it would help I could start doing the weight chart again. Just let me know. Should we come up with a new name and see if we can get more people on board? The more posts and stories the better I think... Please weigh in on that. Pun intended--he he.:laugh:

    I agree that we should all start over. If you don't mind, I would appreciate you taking over. I've been so swamped lately that I don't know who has sent me weigh ins or not.

    No problem. Everyone send me your weights this Friday. If you want to keep that as our weigh in day. I am finally getting back in the groove again hooray!! My book I am doing helps. But so does support from the board. Come out where ever you are!!

    I am thinking we need a challenge. What should we do?? We could all go for 5 lbs down this month. Or just check in everyday. What do you think??

    A challenge sounds good. I think it would help to have a small challenge each month or each week. I'm open to anything.
