Oh, no he didn't! (In a good way)

My husband came to visit me at work today. Out of the blue, he asked me if the jeans I've got on are those that have been literally falling off me in recent weeks. I told him that it is was one of the six pairs, yes. Four are size 32s, one is a 30, and one is a 26. (I just bought the 26 last weekend.) The 32s fall down constantly (I don't like belts) and the 30 was a gift from my sister. It's not much better than the 32. I feel like Urkle all day long. So, anyway, today was size 32 day. And he mentions that maybe I should give these bigger jeans to my sister. I responded, "No. I'm not ready to let them go yet." He nagged me for a few minutes and I finally got frustrated enough that he wouldn't take no for answer that I told him the reason I'm not ready to let them go yet is because they are my favorite pair and until I can fit into the size 26s comfortably, these jeans stay in my closet. He breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Good. I thought maybe you were wanting to hang onto them again unless you ever get this big again."

OH NO HE DIDN'T!! But he didn't mean it in a mean way. I took it as encouragement!

Awesome. Way to turn something that 95% of the population would take negative, into something positive. Keep at it. Some people can learn from you and realize that life is too short to take something like that and turn it into a "discouragement rant."

HAHHAHAAH this totally made me laugh. I have the same problem, but refuse to go shopping until I fit into the smaller size I want. We should invest in some Urkel style suspenders ;)

And way to go with the taking it in a good way! It makes all the difference, that's really awesome!

I know he meant it in a nice way, but that is really funny. Bless him.

Congrats on your dress size dropping :D

My advice get rid of the jeans that are too big...now! Once my jeans get to the point that I have to keep pulling them up, I buy more - two sizes smaller. They may be a bit uncomfortable at first - but it's a great incentive to stay on track!

Well, that's why I bought the pair of 26s last weekend. I thought they'd fit, as I'd tried on a pair the weekend before at Lane Bryant and those fit perfectly. But these pair (alas, from Walmart) aren't the same brand (obviously) or fabric. I can get 'em up over my butt, but forget getting them to come up over my belly enough to button or zip. So they stay in the closet until I can get there. Until then, I'm stuck with the ones I've got. Thanks for the thought! :)
