Protein shake that tastes good?

Is there a good brand out there that doesn't cost too much that tastes good? Right now I am using Kroger chocolate, it has a lot of protein, like 25 grams I think, but is gritty and usually doesn't mix well. I've heard beach body products are good, but I don't think those will fit in my budget. What are some other good brands and flavors?

Thx!

I don't like the flavored ones, so I use Now Foods unflavored protein powder and just make a smoothie and mix it in. I personally have found every flavored one I have tried to be too sweet. I spend about $25 for 2lbs which is 90 servings and lasts about 3 months depending on how often I use it.

Right now I'm using the whey protein powder from Costco. Comes in a big bag, green and white. cost is about $17.00 but it has lasted me forever! Cant remember the name. What are you mixing your powder with and how do you mix it? I usually mix mine with Silk Coconutmilk (that doesnt taste like coconut) and put it in a shaker bottle. I dont think I have ever tried a mix that didnt mix well in my shaker bottle. You can buy them at any healthfood store, I'm sure other places as well.

Good luck and if you find a delicious powder that doesnt break the bank, let me know, would love to try it!

I usually just use a generic brand for the price (vanilla flavored). To drown out the nasty gritty taste I usually put some fresh fruit in a blender, some ice, and skim milk. The fruit covers the texture and it doesn't taste as bad.

I also tried adding matcha green tea powder in, it tastes kinda like the green tea fraps (minus the fat) from starbucks.

GNC 100% whey protein Cookies & Cream mixes with strawberries and bananas well. It is good alone as well. The Biggest Loser vanilla bean isn't bad either, and it's sweetened with stevia.

Wendy, I usually mix it with water, or sometimes I will make a green smoothie with spinach, some fruit, ice and then add the whey. If I blend it, it doesn't get chunky but I can just taste the grittyness ... yuck. I have a costco account, maybe I will try theirs. They are really good at letting people return stuff if you don't like it.

Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard Double Rich Chocolate. Blend it with skim milk. Tastes very similar to chocolate milk. Just got it this week, loving it so far.

Got 2 pounds of the stuff from The Vitamin Shoppe for $26--I think GNC has a similar price. It'll last you a month if you drink one serving every day.

I like Muscle Milk and Muscle Milk Light. Chocolate and Cake batter. I get the light from Sam's club, it comes in single serve (100 cals) boxes, like a juice box. the cake batter we got at Hi Health, in a big canister that we have to mix. The box ones come ready to drink. The canister was about $24. The light was about $25 for maybe 18-20 of them....like a case almost.
