I wasn't,but for a few days now I've added a Slimfast shake to my diet, because of the vitamins it has (not to aid weight loss). I'm a bit scared I don't get everything I need.

But when I looked at your diary I did notice your choices are healthy,so you might no need it to be honest. I think you eat enough fruits and vegetables.

    I'm a snack person,so I have many days where I don't :( (am working on it though)

I am going to start taking Zinc B6 Magnesium tablets which is good for
    Maintenance of health during pregnancy
For women on Oral Contraceptives which frequently deplete these nutrients
Pre-menstrual tension, pain, and fluid retention
Infertility problems of both men and women
    Depression, nervousness, insomnia
    Muscle spasms, twitching, cramps
    Hypoglycaemia, blood sugar level problems
Skin and hair problems due to nervous tension
    Withdrawal from smoking

I am also thinking about taking a joint maintenance one as well.

I am taking vitamins, because I usually don't meet the RDA without them (you can find out in MFP by the way), and this allows me to control other aspects of my diet without worrying about getting the right amount of vitamins.

    The ones I take are:
    - "Tesco Multivitamins + Iron": contains vitamin A, D, E, C, a few others and Iron. This is a good "all rounder".
    - "Tesco Zinc supplement": because it is not contained in the previous one...

As far as I am aware, vitamins in excess are eliminated anyway.

I have also seen an improvement in nail and hair "quality", so it helped in many ways.

I tried that, but too many foods are missing vitamin/mineral information so I gave up trying :(

yes and no, some are, some aren't - vitamin C for example is excreted daily (though can have a laxative effect if you take a lot in one day), other vitamins and minerals can be overdosed on - though I dont think one vitamin tablet a day on top of a healthy diet can reach those limits
