I have been calorie counting on and off now for 3 years and have decided I need to change because I am being very unhealthy and skipping meals to eat sugary carb filled things instead, I just can't stop!
I have been researching and think the high protein /low carb diet would be better for me so I eat 3 meals a day and get a better pattern back to my eating habits.

My question is, for those who have switched over, did you gain weight initially and did you find the transition easy?
Also any tips from people who do this diet I would appreciate very much!

I am getting married in October and need to see results this time

Thanks in advance xx

I personally try to stick to high protein and low(ish) carbs. I changed my settings on MFP to 40/40/20 (carbs/protein/fat). I lose as long as I stay under my calorie goal for the day, but I lose a lot faster when I keep my protein higher than or equal to my carbs. I try to keep my protein above 120g and protein above 120g. It is just what works for me personally.
