poor decisions last night = starving this morning

I drank with some friends last night, and then went home and ate whatever was left over in the fridge (2 oz of salmon, 3 bites of meat loaf, 3 oz of pork with carrots and onions). The biggest killer was the 4 glasses of wine (2 out and 2 at home). Today I am STARVING. It's not even 9 and I'm already staring down my morning snacks.

You might also be dehydrated since that's what alcohol does to you. Drink some more water and maybe try a soup to help with the hunger? It's so hard when you go out with friends :/

I'm in the same boat. Was rushed this morning and almost gave into a bagel at a coffee shop but chose cottage cheese and berries instead :) Lunch will be a blessing when it comes :)

I have actually decided to cut out alcohol for a few weeks to see how my body reacts. Water and Lemon for me please ;)

I think Emilie is right. Drink water, girl! Those little bites of this and that can really add up. Eat if you are hungry. Let your body get over the night. Hope you had fun!

Drink some water. Like the previous poster said it is likely dehydration. Also, as a almost 30 year old I go out A LOT with friends and it usually entails eating and drinking. I have learned to make smart food choices most of the time but the wine kills me.

As a rule I make sure I always have a glass of water with me or at my table. And make sure I drink several glasses. I used to have to make myself drink water (when I am also drinking alcohol) but since I have gotten in the habit I do it without thinking. This way I can enjoy my wine AND not have the effects of it in the morning!

Water, water, water! Sometimes, when our bodies are trying to tell us to drink more, we feel hungry. You may have the munchies from loss of nutrients linked to dehydration, but I'd still say drink as much water as you can handle.

I'll never understand how drinking too much makes you dehydrated! lol... Anyhow, I do this on a regular basis. I cut out alcohol for two weeks to purge my body of it's toxins and I dropped 10 pounds. Guess that tells ya, I drink too much.
Drinks lots of water and juice helps, too. I have to eat something like triskets to keep the hunger pangs at bay. Did you eat breakfast?

I agree with everyone else...water, water, water. And dont be upset with yourself, theses things are bound to happen, what is important is that you get right back on track. i know I am going to a concert this weekend and will more than likely drink at it, but I am going to try to get a good workout in before, and on sunday I am right back on track.

Everyone has a bad day,...it is just important that you get right back on track!!!!

    Good luck...you will do great

Thanks everyone! I'll hit the water now. I ate a 1/2 cup of fresh green beans, the crunch helped, but now I'm hungry again (it's my regular 10:15 snack time. I'll go down to the Friday Farmers Market and pick up some fruit. Yeah, I ate some cereal for breakfast (never skip breakfast, I get mean and anxious), but I'm just so HUNGRY! Okay . . . off to make some smart decisions!
