My aha moment

So they say it takes 30 days to make or break a habit right….I see and read about so many of us jumping from diet to diet and jumping from workout program to workout program

I am not a fitness expert nor do I claim to be one if I was I would be at my goal weight....so why can’t we seem to just stick with it? I am just as guilty of this as anyone else and I guess seeing so many people jumping and changing that actually hit home and I had an ahh haha moment of I think we believe something is going to be instant so if we don’t see immediate results then we jump ship and move onto something else….but I bet I just bet if we stick with something (that is healthy and good for us not talking about doing things that are not healthy lol) in 30 days we might learn some patience and see results

I say this in all honesty if you could see the collection of workout dvd’s, diet books, etc that I am guilty of this crime

So I say a thank you to all the jumpers that frustrated me to show me my own fault in not sticking to something.

You are on the right track with this shift in your thinking. Change is difficult for each of us in our own way. My husband does not even like it when I change the furniture around in the living room. The other aspect is that changing behaviors requires more motivation, drive and stick to it focus. The track that you are on now is behavioral change: have you ever tried to change the behavior of a pet or child? It takes week and months to have it become natural and automatic in response. Why would your behavioral changes take any less time or any less focus?

Every day is a new day, strive to keep on track....when the cookie jar calls your name, get up go out and even walk around the house. You can do and achieve your goals: wishing you continued success!
