Ok, so my kids are older now, and I want to lose this weight. I have faith that I can lose the weight...my problem is I keep seeing all of these girls that have never had babies, and I think I will NEVER have the body I want now because I've had babies.
I mean my stomach is all stretched and lop-sided, and I even keep thinking if I lose the weight and get SKINNY like I think I can...I will always have stretched out skin that will never really look tone...Now I know deep down that I'm probably just being tough on myself, but I could really use some encouragement.
Is it possible that I may ACTUALLY be able to get my body to look as good as it did before babies...minus stretch marks of course. lol

Sure you can. It is hard, will not happen in a few months, but it can happen if you put your mind to it. I had 6 babies and slowly but surely I am finding my abs back....ok now I still have flab under the skin and nothing short of surgery will take away my stretch marks and extra skin but I barely have a pooch anymore
Eat right
Do cardio
Do strenght training
Be patient
enjoy the journey
Love yourself
Good luck0 -
First things first.....LOVE YOURSELF. Images of the perfect body types were placed by media. You are beautiful just the way you are...However, if you feel uncomfortable with yourself and you want to improve your health then that should be #1. I was overweight after I had my second child and I have to admit that I found no hope in losing weight. I wanted to look like the Victoria Secret Models but I learned that I can still be beautiful and OWN IT. OWN YOUR BEAUTY. It's an individual beauty, one of a kind and no one can ever take that from you. You can do this. I don't know you but I have faith that you will overcome this obstacle and get to where you are SUPPOSED to be. :flowerforyou:0

I've had three kids and have had a "high weight" of 182 before *independent of pregnancy* between my 2nd & 3rd baby due to medication (I put on 35lbs in a year! ALL the baby weight and then 12lbs!).
Because I gained 55lbs with my first, I will ALWAYS have my little sag-bag on my lower abdomen. I used to keep some extra fat on me on purpose, because I thought "filling it out" was better than the loose skin. Trust me, being fluffy was WAY more of a headache than having a very typical "momma belly". Which do you think it harder to dress in the morning? Bloated pooch and major muffintop spillage OR a hint of loose skin nobody is going to see unless they pull up your shirt to give you a raspberry? Exactly, because we're not 6 anymore!
So I have a little lose skin, so what? I have had THREE kids and am in better shape than many women who've also had 3, 2, 1 or even never had kids! I'm beaming proud of that and I'm not going to let a little "evidence" rain on my I-love-me-parade.
What the hell are you doing comparing yourself to shapeless nulliparous girls anyway? Heck, my WHR has only gotten better with every baby, and evolutionary psychologists are on the tip of the iceberg in beginning to discover that men generally prefer parous women anyway. We're "proven". Why do you think many great men in history are known for appropriating other men's wives? Because they've already been able to get pregnant in the first place and survived childbirth! What's sad is that many of those girls you're trying to compare yourself to may have years of infertility struggles ahead of them, you just never know. When they're older and in tears and looking at you green with envy, which do you think they'd rather have, their own little baby or that washboard tummy?
Exactly. Welcome to the world of WOMEN.0 -
Stretchmarks just need time hon. I had dark purple tiger stripes after my first, simply reused them for my second, and by my third 9 years later, women in the locker room would stop mid-conversation and demand to know how I didn't have any at full term! I actually have a 38wk preggo pic in my profile and they were so faint, they didn't show in pics and you'd actually have to be up close in the flesh and squint to see 'em. I'd just laugh and tell them that I was reusing my nearly decade-old ones.0
