So I didn't have the greatest workout this morning, and yesterday was a struggle.

I had a great workout on tuesday (wednesday was my off day) and i felt like i could go forever. I've been getting up everyday at 530 to go to the gym (cardio 5 times a week, weights 3 times) so I'm thinking I need to get more sleep because maybe fatigue is affecting me? Any thoughts? Thanks

It may be that you are not eating enough? What is your calorie goal on MFP? (For a male, this should not be less than 1500 calories) Do you eat your exercise calories back? If not, start it is essential to fuel your workouts.

Sometimes, we all have crappy workouts. If it is 1, I wouldn't worry about it. If it is a few in a row, then I would start looking for a solution.

That's definitely an early start! I would make sure you are getting enough sleep but also make sure you have some rest between workout to give your muscles time to heal in between workouts. A lot of guys also rotate the muscle groups they work out between days of the week so they don't end up overdoing any one muscle group.

Try taking a pre-workout boost like Jack 3D. I don't take it all the time but on days I struggle to go it helps. I hit the gym at different times also because of my work schedule. sometimes I go at 12 am after working 16 hours, once I get there I usually do well. I 'change it up' when I go and if you 'leave it all on the field' you can't do any better than that! what are you doing that is making you struggle?
