Hello everyone. I joined the site last night on the advice of my fiancée and thought I might as well introduce myself and perhaps gain a few friends at the same time.
The main reason I've joined is to gain some knowledge about - and control over - what I'm feeding my body. I've never been one to give nutrition a second thought (nor a first one, for that matter), just eat when I get hungry or feeling gluttonous, usually not picking anything remotely healthy. This wasn't a big problem until around 3 years ago when I started putting on a bit around the waist. That has spiralled on slowly but surely, the fact I quit playing football (of the soccer variety) a couple of years ago probably didn't help a lot. Now I've got around 15-20 pounds extra, not distributed prettily at all, just sitting on my stomach like a hill of disappointment.
The second reason is directly related to that growing hill. I want to get rid of it and bulk up on muscle instead According to my latest weighing I'm walking around at an even 90.8 kilos (even 200 pounds) and I'm 180cm (6'10/11 iirc?). That sounds like a pretty tasty goal when the luggage has been disposed of and replaced with muscles.
So here begins the battle, one that will not be fought on the scales but using a measuring tape and nutrition information labels.
Feel free to friend me here, more support will only keep the battle going that more steadily

Hi- welcome. :flowerforyou: I think you will love the site and most (not all) of the advice you get here.
Feel free to add me or my husband (since I know for men the journey is a little different). He has less to lose than I do and he also wants to bulk up: Hernandezedw0 -
Seeing as how I seemingly can't edit my post I'll have to post this: I'm obviously not 6'10, more like a foot shorter0
